At Otahuhu Community Baptist Church, our desire is to sow God’s Word into every heart, so that it may guide and strengthen us in every step of life.

We warmly invite people of all ages, languages, and nations to join us for our Memory Verse Recitation on Saturday, 10th October at 9:30 AM.

✨ Registration is FREE!! ✨ and you may recite the memory verse in the language of your choice.

Simply register yourself and your whānau, learn the verse for your age group, and come along on the day to share God’s Word together.

Memory Verse Recitation Rules

Participants MUST bring at least one print-out copy of all the memory verses they will be reciting
Participants need to recite the verses with references
Each verse carries 1 point without any mistakes. If they self-correct immediately, they will not lose any points.
If they make a mistake, no points will be given
If they say the verse correctly and no reference, they will get only 1/2 point, but if they say the reference and no verses, they will not get any points
There are time limits while reciting. We will give 3-5 yrs - 5 minutes, 6-8 yrs - 10 minutes, 9-12 yrs - 15 minutes, 13-15 yrs - 20 minutes, 16-30 yrs - 25 minutes, 30 yrs and above - 40 minutes
Participants are allowed to recite only the verses given based on their age group
Your printout will have the version and language you are going to recite. If you have a different print-out, you will be disqualified.
Parents are NOT allowed to be with their children while reciting
Check-in starts at 9:30 am (Check-in desk closes at 10:15 am), Memory Verse Recitation begins at 10 am

Church doors will be open from 9 am. We kindly urge everyone to be available before 9:30 am. Please note, we will have to politely not accept any registration after the check-in desk is closed.
