This past year has been a great chapter in my lifelong journey with God. Only recently, I had the privilege of being baptised and since then I have found myself growing closer and closer to God. Whether it be in my everyday life or in things that I seek out His help in, I have found that he’s always there to guide me in the right direction. Psalm 32:8 says “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life” and at this stage of my life, when I’m young and figuring out what “the real world” and adult life is all about, I’ve found that trusting in God to lead you is the best thing to do.
The Bible is filled with advice and in the last year I’ve learnt that it holds a solution or an answer to almost every issue we may face. We just have to take the time to look for it. As a whole, I’m so grateful to God for giving me the life I have but in this past year, the thing that has stood out is that He has given me support, reassurance, guidance and strength whenever I most needed it. I’m extremely grateful to Him for all the blessings He has given me, including a loving family, an education, leaders to guide me in church and most specifically the opportunities that church has given me because I know that that’s not something a lot of people get.
I hope that in the years to come I’m able to live my life and use these opportunities only to glorify His name. Thank you.
